This program is Cardware, you are free to use and distribute
the program, all I ask is you drop me a note, preferably a
postcard. Enjoy.
INSTALLATION:
The binary files schemer.exe for windows 3.1 or schemr32.exe
for WIN95/NT can be located in any directory and does not
require any other files. Since you may wish to save custom
color sets I recommend you create a subdirectory to store the
program and these color set files.
Create Windows 3.1 Icon:
After unzipping simply use the program manager, file, new, program item
option to create an icon in the group of your choice. Make sure you
know where you have unzipped the executable on your hard drive.
Enter the path and program name schemer.exe in the command line field.
Create Windows 95 Icon(shortcut):
Right click in folder you wish to create icon and choose new, shortcut.
Make sure you know the path you unzipped the file to and enter the path
and file name Schemer.exe in the command line field.
NEW FEATURES V1.3:
* Fixed file save bug, now save custom colors correctly.
Thanks to Reed Crouch from Utah for his help in finding this problem!
FYI: To change the default directory your color files are saved to and
loaded from, just change the Working Directory or Start In setting
of your Color Schemer Icon.
NEW FEATURES V1.2:
* Created 32bit windows 95 version! (I finally bought Delphi 2.0)
* Fixed bugs in screen update routines during pasting new color info
* Reorganized menus for easier navigation
* Made all program features accessible from keyboard via menu options
* Changed color file extensions from *.dat to *.clr
(You can convert your old files by renaming.)
* The really cool splash screen just like the big applications have
NEW FEATURES V1.1:
* Ability to paste color scheme from BODY tag of HTML document.
* Help menu option to turn on/off hint balloons
* File Menu option allows you to save settings & options,
yes it now has a genuine windows ini file no more amnesia
* Changed menu layout for WIN3.1 users
* Changed font size for better appearance with various PC configurations
DESCRIPTION:
Generates the color settings for the BODY segment of an HTML document by
displaying a small sample of background, text, link & vlink colors.
Once you have chosen you colors for these four properties a speedbutton
can be pressed to copy the correct HTML code to the windows clipboard.
You may also double click each individual color to copy just that value
to the clipboard.
Other features include a popup custom color dialog and the ability to
save & load a set of 16 colors you have created to and from disk.
For you propeller heads out there, I wrote the program in DELPHI from
Borland and then recompiled it with Delphi 2.0. It should not require
any files other than schemer.exe.
